ENTRUM enterprising mind-set creation 4-steps methodology application to ENTRUM creative industries start-up’s

To achive that goal ENTRUM is designed taking in te consideration 13-19 year olds psychological aspects. One-year activities was based on “ENTRUM 4-steps enterprising mindset creating” methodology (inspire, teach the skills, socialise, help make next steps).

The purpose was to create a generation of young Estonians with an enterprising mindset and appropriative social and business skills, as well as contacts among professionals and entrepreneurs, that will support youngsters’ self-fulfilment in creative industries.


On the practice ENTRUM is a serie of grand attractively designed “MTV style” events, where participation of business and culture celebrities as role models is masterfully combined with business model workshops and pitching practice. Students has their personal mentor from the number of acting entrepreneurs.

Incubational program that starts in October and finish in February and consists of three one-day sessions and one night session culminates with start-up’s competition in March. According to the results the President of the Republic of Estonia awards most entrepreneurial students’s start-ups, best mentor and school with biggest number of finalists.

How does this pilot fit with the curriculum – how do the pupils benefit?

According to the feedback of participants and partners the “ENTRUM 4-steps” method is perfect to inspire and empower youngsters to get started, discover creative industries inside life and with people around, take responsibility for the project success.

Participants became more self-confident, dare to create and initiate new ideas. They got appropriate business skills for building up functioning creative industries start-up, as well network and contacts for colloboration with creative industries business incubators, regional development centres. Direct connection of ENTRUM creative industries start-ups to creative industries business-incubators and entrepreneurs helps avoid “putting students in the bubble” and created direct links between students and all the creative industries ecosystem.

All start-ups finalists have received a certificate certifying their skills to potential future employers and partners, as well as giving them the right to be entrepreneurial in their own right.
